Movimento Refloresta is a youth-focused initiative founded by Martin Frankenberg, connecting young Brazilians with the Amazon and the communities who call it home. The project is built on a simple premise: we protect what we understand. Through immersive field experiences in the state of Pará, including time spent with riverside communities in Anã and Atodi, participants gain first-hand insight into the ecological and cultural significance of the Amazon. Since launch, over 80 young people from across Brazil have taken part, with the experience designed to spark long-term advocacy rather than one-off awareness. Creating lasting impact, the work doesn't end with the trip. Participants are encouraged to remain engaged, sharing learnings and taking action within their own communities, forming a growing network of young voices rooted in lived connection to the forest.
