Power A Project

Support Vetted Projects with Your Travel Business

Each year, The Conscious Travel Foundation’s Community Impact Fund supports two community-led projects—but many more incredible initiatives apply to receive our grants than we can fund. Through our new ‘Power a Project’ initiative, our members and industry partners have the opportunity to step in and directly support these brilliant projects, ensuring they can still move forward.

Every project profiled has been carefully vetted, having already been nominated by our community and reviewed by our team, Philanthropy Committee members, and impact experts for viability, success potential, and long-term impact. By adopting a project, you are investing in meaningful, community-led change that aligns with our values and mission.

Meet The Projects

Movimento ReFloresta
Brazil

Movimento ReFloresta is a regenerative tourism movement connecting young people across Brazil with the Amazon, through the Amazon. The threats to the survival of the Amazon are usually too distant from the realities of the people who do not live there. Funding would be used to support the immersive learning journeys, forging links between youth and Amazonian communities, building a network of young activists and strengthening the communities of the Amazon through community-based tourism.

This self-financed eco-tourism model offers snorkelling, reef walks and glass-bottom boat tours, generating income for conservation and community. The project is seeking funding to expand ecotourism along the Kenyan coast.

Floreana Eco-Rangers Youth Program
Ecuador

The project aims to educate and empower youth on the remote island of Floreana in the Galapagos Islands. Rooted in community collaboration, the project focuses on conservation, eco-tourism, and guiding skills, training young people to combat invasive species, restore native ecosystems, and foster a long term connection between the youth and their natural environment. With an impressive leadership team, and a strong track record from supporters Tropic Eco in community-based tourism, this project provides hands-on guide training and real-world experience to create opportunities for Floreana’s youth, and in turn, the community.
