Carbon Clinic: Working from Home Emissions

At The Conscious Travel Foundation, we know how overwhelming understanding and measuring the carbon footprint of your business can be. That’s why we’ve partnered with ecollective, who believe in making it as painless as possible, so you can begin taking positive action!

ecollective are joining us to host a short, sharp five part series of workshops over the coming months to help our members turn intent into action. During each of these 45-minute workshops, you’ll complete live calculations on different aspects of your business under the expert guidance of the team from ecollective.

After session two, you’ll leave understanding the carbon footprint of your working from home emissions and have clear steps in order to reduce it for years to come.

Sign-up will close 24-hours before the session, so that ecollective can share relevant materials before the session.

FAQ:

Do I need to prepare anything in advance?

Collecting bills and information about your offices (or even your homes) can be a pain. So if you or your colleagues have no information, please still come and join the session, we will still estimate your carbon footprint.

However if you can bring the answers to these questions to the meeting, your results will be far more accurate:

  1. The name of your electricity provider?

  2. How much electricity your office used in 2022 or your last FY? (This would ideally be in kWh).

  3. If you office uses gas or oil to run the heating, can you find out how much you used in 2022 or your last FY?

Do I need to have access to a screen?

Yes, we will be sharing a spreadsheet with you, so please join the workshop by laptop rather than phone so that it is easier for you to add to it.

Do I need to sign up for all of the sessions?

No, but gold stars for anyone that does! Feel free to choose those that are most of interest to you. If you cannot make a particular date, or the session is full, please let us know and we’ll do our best to run another session.
