OMAN

Under star-filled Omani skies, where ancient mountains meet endless desert, Hud Hud Travels creates moments of profound connection with landscape and tradition. Their mobile camps are set up in remote, wild places, combining traditional Omani design with practical comfort: solar lighting, open-air bathrooms and furnishings crafted by local artisans. Every detail is considered to minimise environmental impact and respect the surrounding landscape.

With sustainability as their guiding principle, single-use plastics have been reduced by 90%, and guests are given refillable aluminium water bottles for use at camp. They partner with the Environment Society of Oman to support conservation work, including the protection of nesting turtles and the endangered Arabian humpback whale. As travellers watch the golden light change across dunes and wadis, they experience Oman's wilderness in ways that preserve its fragile beauty. Energy use is being further reduced through the introduction of solar-powered refrigeration, and red meat has been eliminated from on site staff meals.
