CLIMATE IMPACT IN ACTION: HOW TO FUND (AND SPEAK ABOUT) CLIMATE PROJECTS

Join us for an session hosted by The Conscious Travel Foundation’s climate partner, Pinwheel, as we welcome industry experts Gavin Sheppard and Rob Cheesewright. In a time when meaningful climate action is no longer optional, this session will equip you with the tools, strategies, and insights to make a measurable impact while communicating your efforts authentically and effectively.

Explore the frameworks that guide impactful climate action, starting with an introduction to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the WWF approach to carbon markets. Learn how Pinwheel aligns with these standards and uses innovative tools, like their psychology-driven voting platform, to empower engagement and action.

Dive deeper into the world of carbon and biodiversity credits, addressing common criticisms of carbon projects while spotlighting the governing bodies that ensure their credibility. From internationally recognized initiatives like Justdiggit to lesser-known grassroots projects supported by TCTF, discover the diversity and flexibility of the projects that can be funded—and learn how you can bring forward projects from your own community.

Hear inspiring stories from our members who are making climate action integral to their businesses, including:

  • Joro’s approach that goes beyond value chain mitigation.

  • Senderos’s contribution to our shared climate fund.

  • Steppes’ strategy that creatively splits client contributions to maximize impact.

  • Lemongrass’s annual contribution and the way they harnessed the climate fund at their annual PR roadshow to spark engagement.

Pinwheel will also showcase examples of the impact reports they create for participants that help members measure and communicate their contributions, demonstrating the tangible difference their efforts are making. With increasing scrutiny around green claims, this session will provide practical advice on sustainability data and how to prepare for a future where transparency and accountability are key.

Our partnership with Pinwheel was designed to make climate action easy, accessible and meaningful, so we look forward to having you join the conversation and learn how you can take part.
