Crees Foundation for Manu
Peru

In the buffer zone of Peru’s Manu National Park, Crees Foundation monitors biodiversity while bringing conservation to life through hands-on learning at the Manu Learning Centre. Local schoolchildren, youth and adults discover forest health firsthand. Through direct experience, visitors to the biosphere gain a clearer understanding of what it means to live in the buffer zone, why these ecosystems matter, and how natural resources can be used responsibly and sustainably. The foundation also works with local and Indigenous communities to support livelihoods by promoting sustainable farming practices and strengthening local value chains.
