OUR VISION AND MISSION
In the face of a global climate and biodiversity crisis, the aim of The Conscious Travel Foundation is to collaborate, educate and advocate for a more meaningful, sustainable tourism industry - protecting the planet and spreading the narrative around sustainable travel to our peers and the public. We see ourselves as a community think tank and a conduit to industry experts and innovators, helping our members increase their positive impact on landscapes, wildlife, cultures and communities across the globe.
OUR COMMUNITY
Our active community of like-minded global travel businesses are at varying stages on their positive impact journey. Welcoming, collaborative and free from judgement, our community exists to support one another as we navigate our way towards a more regenerative, inclusive and purposeful future for travel. We welcome members from across all sectors of the industry, from hotels, lodges and DMCs, to agents, guides and operators, PR and marketing businesses and journalists.

We emphasise the importance of education and raising awareness among travellers, communities, and the tourism industry to foster a deeper understanding of travel’s global footprint. Education empowers individuals to make informed choices and take meaningful action.
PHILANTHROPY
We believe in the immense philanthropic power of the travel industry. 50% of all membership fees are donated to high-impact charitable projects around the globe, using our charitable framework developed in consultation with Philanthropy Without Borders.
UNITY
We believe in the power of unity, recognising that together, we can achieve a more sustainable and responsible travel industry. By fostering unity and welcoming members from all stages of their impact journey, we create a collective force that drives positive change.

Our values-aligned community of passionate conscious travel advocates are at varying stages on their positive impact journey, with 60 members hailing from 18 countries around the world.
We welcome members from all corners of the industry, from hotels and lodges, to travel designers, journalists, DMCs and sales and marketing representatives.

LEARNING TOGETHER
The Conscious Travel Foundation provides educational content and contacts that empower our members to make changes in their businesses and destinations. From expert-led panel discussions and small-group round tables, our sessions are designed to inspire, educate and turn intent into action.
With topics ranging from certification and evaluating supply chains and accessible, inclusive travel, The Conscious Travel Foundation takes a holistic approach to changing our industry for the better.
Membership
PHILANTHROPY
As a non-profit organisation, we donate 50% of all membership fees to charitable causes around the world through The Conscious Travel Foundation Charitable Fund. From gorilla conservation and social impact projects, to supporting income-generating initiatives that promise long-term financial sustainability, our fund enables our members to increase their charitable impact by joining forces with their fellow members.
